the only real sports team i have any loyalty to is the montreal canadiens. ok, i'm also a bluejays fan, but that's because it's really the only team you can get reliable coverage of in canada. well up until last year you could get good expos coverage, but it was all in french.

i can watch basketball and football, but i don't do so often enough to feel the need to pick a team.

NCAA: Kansas State, but also Indiana in hoops
NFL: Da Bears, Chiefs
MLB: Royals
NBA: Ever since Jordan left (disregard the Wizards), I don't watch NBA anymore
NRL: Brisbane
3A: Greensboro Bats

I don't really watch pro sports. They're just not interesting. If I wanted to go watch a bunch of millionaires dick around, I'd watch croquet or something. Basketball is way worse than NFL and MLB though. I fucking HATE the NBA.

I kind of wish the opening post in this thread said simply:

my boy beltran and pedro and cliff floyd are on point but that team sucks. i hate this. david wright's pretty cool too. ehh. reyes could be good if he would draw a fucking walk.

i couldn't help but laugh when glavine had a 2.34 era or something the first half of last year and a horrible record to show for it.

he sucks now though. also a sad site.

The problem with the Mets is they always try to solve their issues with an over the hill free agent.

The difference with the Yankees is that they at least developed a few players from the system that are able to contribute.

I would just like to clarify that I've been a fan of Boston since I declared Mike Greenwell my favorite player when I started collecting cards as a kid. I think I still have a plaque that has a 1987 Topps card of him in it somewhere.

The Patriots, on the other hand, I didn't think much of until they got really cool uniforms.

Mike Greenwell! He has his own batting cage thing in Florida. An excellent place to play.

I’m not saying the Mets do breed a whole hell of a lot of talent. Right now, Reyes, Wright, Diaz and Heilman are homegrown but hell Reyes hasn’t done anything, diaz won’t be starting till next year, and Heilman is a work in progress. The Yankees haven’t produced a homegrown with as much potential as Wright since Jeter.

while that's all true, the unit pic was mostly in response to his knock on the mets...since that's pretty much what the Yankees did by going after RJ.

but yea, his post was gold in more ways than one.
