Default anyone grow pot before?

i was given a couple hundred seeds over christmas when my friend was back from toronto... living with my mom i cant grow in the house, but in a week or two when it gets warmer if i walk around the outskirts of town sticking seeds in the ground what are the chances that anything would come from that? im going to be a modern day johnny apple seed, but with weed.

my friend told me he just stuck seeds in the ground on his parents land and some of them grew quite well. he also told me that one time he broke into a drug dealers warehouse and stole a pound of pot, though
