Cool My final project for branding.

Project: Create a new identity for an existing product, and then create a new logo for an imaginary product that this company will produce. Create appropriate collateral for a corporation.

I Chose Tazo brand tea

Thumbs up

that looks really good. they had an all staff meeting this morning and one of the guys from branding got up and unveiled the new logo for visa.. it was pretty interesting to hear him talk about the metrics they use to measure how memorable a brand is and like the trajectory of a brand as a company evolves and stuff.

they put like 2 years or something into it, it was kind of bizarre..since it is literally just four letters and some coloring on the v. that was my second introduction to branding.

the first was at napster where these dicks got up and talked about how it took them like a year to soften the lines on the eyes and ears on the cat so it didn't look like satan and they made the font slightly less aggressive, and how it would dovetail nicely with their attempts to look like a nice gentle company in the courts. yeah, that worked. pfft!

the visa thing seemed more legit

It took our designer a year to create 12 pages for our magazine, and he's one of the best in America.

Branding and the creative prossess is a calculated and slow-paced endevor, but when it's done right the rewards are great.

Can I be one of your designers?
