Question computer peripheral question

this might be a long-shot, but is there a device that will plug into USB and output s-video and 5.1 audio? i'm expecting this to work without a 5.1 audio card, too.

getting two separate devices to sync video and audio would probably be kind of a pain.

You want a second video card and a 5.1 encoder all in one USB box? I'm not sure they really even make USB video ouputs, this looks like the closest I can see

But even if that does have an S-video output, it doesn't do 5.1 by the looks of things. What do you want this for anyway? You might have more chance looking for some kind of USB-equipped DVD player

actually, i think i might be able to find a program to stream the audio in 5.1 through our mac airport express, so that would mean that i only would need to find a device to output the video through usb. hmm.

well, my laptop doesn't have video output, and i want to be able to watch movies off my laptop on tv with 5.1. perhaps my best option is just to buy a dvd burner.
