My God I hate this place. I got a call yesterday for a second interview with the Texas Tech IT department... and they said I was in the top 5 of their applicants out of 60... and they'll work with my school schedule (since it is the school I'll be working for) and I won't have to pay any fees, since I'll be an employee of the university. If any of you believe in God, please pray for me, I hope I get it.

I've been at this shit place for five years in May... and I have been working every Saturday for at least the last two years, which means I only get one day off a week... and lately with that and school and my other job it's absolutely gotten to me - so I ask the manager if he can vary the schedule for the weekend around, so I'm not stuck working every Saturday - and he bluntly says "no" because he doesn't want to hear other people bitching about having to work when they don't want to. Nevermind I have been in this department longer than him or the other people he doesn't want to "hear bitch" - he's best friends with two of our employees back here and give them every consideration possible. I hate this place. I told him tough shit, when your manager you have to work things out - and he said "well I am by having you work every saturday".

I'm sorry. It just happened, and I'm so freaking pissed off I want to blow up. Jesus. I hate this fucking place.

No. I was manager for a year, and got demoted to supervisor last July when a new manager was brought in - he was then fired after 3 months and the guy who was my head supervisor while I was manager was then promoted to the mgt position. I've been looking/applying for other jobs all over the place since then but no one will work with my school schedule. I've had several interviews at difference places but the school thing seems to turn everyone off from hiring me.
