What sucks about DS is they have to incorporate the second screen and touch stuff into every game (except this one I guess) and not all games need it. I remember when it came out they said not every game would use those but seems like they all are. I may not want to use a stylus for certain games but will probably have to. If I had a DS.

I was reading how this guy on IGN was speculating that the next gameboy probably being announced at E3 (when's that?) will be basically a portable GameCube. I think this sounds pretty sweet. Screw DS.

there will be no next-gen gameboy announcement. that's pure bullshit. they just released the ds and the gba sp isn't that old. if anything there'll be an interation of current-gen hardware. e3 is in may btw.

oh and nimrod, the psp looks better on paper, but with battery running times of four hours in some bad cases, discs randomly popping out and buttons not working correctly it doesn't look that good anymore. plus publisher support looks better for the ds and at least it's a novel concept.

Well I read that some industry analyst was projecting a new Gameboy announcement by the end of 2005. And then this IGN dude said what he thought. Which is speculation mostly. But still..

They do plan to continue the Gameboy and not switch fully to DS, right?

Potable gaming should not go 3d period. The next gameboy will not be "gamecube" graphics and psp while pretty has shitty battery life.

Oh and there will be new Zelda footage shown this thursday or friday. Thats the rumor to care about.

I care about Zelda but it's so far off that I don't care a LOT. When's it supposed to come out, end of 2005?

Also, I don't see why portable has to equal 2D. There's no sense in that. A good game is a good game.

EGM says that if you pre order the next Zelda game, you will receive a remake of Windwaker as a bonus! No more kiddy Link, this new remake will be using the more realistic looking graphics and will feature two whole new extra dungeons!!!1@

Mostly because development time will rise and we will be looking at having to pay 40 bucks for a portable game. Also, many companies will just port over alot of old hits just to cut development time down. Look at the PSP launch list and tell me its not true. Nintendo is also guilty of it. Activision already has annouced that their next gen games will be $60 and you can bet many people will follow.

I also don't want people to abandon the 2d format completely.
