i'm sure you went to amoeba records in the haight. its kinda cool. lots of people like that area because of the history, i don't really care for it.

there's the typical union square stuff sunday might be good for, especially if the sun is out. kind of eh, but you might as well.

see a movie at the metreon

then do stuff like going to fillmore street and polk street. cooler shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. union street can be cool

go to the legion of honor.

check out some of the views in russian hill, go to coit tower for taller views, drive down the smaller streets of the marina and see some incredible houses. pac heights too, some nice mansions.

if you're so inclined, take a ferry to sausolito and look back at the city. angel island is cool for hikes and shit.

see some titties on broadway at night if you're into that.

you're kind of missing the good nights for clubs.

go to the presidio for some incredible national park/nature type shit.

go to north beach for restaurants, bars, italian stuff.

the embarcadero can be ok, depending on what you're into.

those are a few suggestions. are you visiting someone there?

oh, go see the pirate store, that's cool. back in the day they wanted to open a writing workshop/school. and the area was zoned commercially, so they weren't allowed to and they had to have a store there.

so the first like 6 feet of the building is a 'pirate store' and behind that is the writing studio stuff. pretty cool.

No, really. The ruins of the bathouses at the Cliffhouse* are a pretty interestring visit. If you're into that kind of thing. I really dig hypocaust and the whole bath system, so it was pretty fascinating for me to see the first time I did.

*The Cliffhouse http://www.cliffhouse.com is a semi-famous restaurant which is wonderful food, and has an amazing view, especially on a clear day.
