I think the question is is worded a little incorrectly for the proposed bit of philosphical discussion. I think it should be worded along the lines of "How can one establish a foundation of moral reasons and declare that there is no God." Because by decaring there is no God, you are surmising that there is not possibility of a being that may be greater than yourself. Thus, no prominant reason to be humble or merciful.

I don't understant: Am I supposed to read threads before replying, or are you saying you don't read threads before replying? Because if it is the former, I'm curious as to what thread I missed.

i'm implying that you did not read this thread before replying. because we already determined that this thread is moot.

To tell you the truth, I just didn't understand what your earlier reply was saying (the one making the thread...shit...what's that word? Means dead...starts with a d...)

Yes there is reason to be humble or merciful: out of respect for your fucking fellow man. Which is why we should have morals in the first place. Stampede is being a contrarian for the sake of it.

I wasn't making a stance on the issue. I was merely making better grounds for the argument, or rather the ground that is usually made for the argument.

Or out of respect for yourself, maybe.

If God can be a moral force so can a human being.
