i got some sample ob tampons in the mail

the literature that came with it pisses me off so much. it basically implies that the only reason to use applicators is you're squeamish or stupid or some shit. like. listen, dudes. i've tried to put a tampon in wtihout an applicator. it has not worked! it has NOT worked. it has been unbelieeeeevably painful and it hurts so much i can't get it in far enough! so i'm walking around all day with that horrible "my tampon isn't in far enough" feeling yeah you know the one. teh ones they sent me are regular absorbency though and they're fucking tiny. they're like the size of my pinky or something. maybe i'll try one of those. i've always tried to use the super absorbency ones and maybe the were just too big to not have an applicator with. also the wrapping! holy fuck! that clear plastic air-tight wrapping??? it takes me like 15 fucking minutes to get it off. WHY? ugh. anyways yeah. nevermind.

yeah the regular absorbency ones went in well! except they are like so absorbent that it hurts to take your finger out. maybe i'll start using applicator-less regular absorbency tampons. id oubt it. that plastic wrapping is soo annoying

plus by the time my period is so unflowy that i need regular absorbency i don't really need to take a tampon with me when i go out because i can keep it in for OVER 8 hours with nothing bad happening. i don't even wear tampons at night

uh h is houdln't talk about that tha'ts gross but i dono't. i just wear thick dark-coloured shorts yeah. nevermind

i used to use the reg. absorbency ob tampons. at first i was freaked out by the thought of no applicator but it really isnt gross or difficult. its my body, its not that scary. but i think theyre really comfortable and its convenient if your purse is small or something. and as for the wrapping, dont you see the little flap thingy that you peel or whatever? its like opening gum or something.

i usually use kotex super absorbency tampons these days. ohh have you ever used scented tampons? ugh. my mom bought them for me once and they made me itch and it didnt even smell good. sooo gross.

My little lady hole doesn't want to be bothered any more than she already is during that time of month. Applicators keep the process simple and as impersonal as possible. Hurray for applicators.

ive never used an applicator tampon, theyre not very popular here.
i dont have any problems putting them in, if its really so painful to insert then why dont you put a little bit of ky or vaseline on the tip of the tampon? that should make it easier.

but really, theres hardly any contact with no applicator. you have to have done it to understand.

yeah i was thinking of doing that, like lubing up the tampon/and or my uhh hole, but would that affect the absorbency?

like the reason it hurts so much is 'cause it's so absorbent and it sticks to my body

it doesnt affect the absorbency at all, and it definetly wont slip out. i used vaseline for a month or so when i first started using tampons and i had no problems at all. it works really well. i used to cringe putting them in at first because of the dryness and it felt like i was tearing up my vaginal walls when i put them in.

Perhaps, but if i have the choice, i choose not to have to deal with a mess of blood and whatever else. Maybe its just because i have really heavy periods. Who knows? I would probably be fine with it if they were light.
