F-ing Balls im snowed in @ work

people in north carolina FREAK OUT when they see a little snow. its not even that bad, i mean its a freaking INCH. but it iced up and everyone is just sitting on the roads. someone left work here @ 5 and called two hours later. they had not even gotten a mile down the road. the silly thing is work was cancelled today because we cancel when public schools cancel (i teach) but i was here because my boss had a meeting (of 3 people) @1130 this morning, so i've been here all day.

Luckily a coworker is stuck here too and had some beer in her trunk. when we run out im walking to the gas station. also i rigged up a tv i found on the third floor with a paper clip stuck in the antenna hole

that's cool your coworker had beer. i remember that place shut right the hell down, especially once when there were 3 feet! it was 1999 or 2000 or something, and it was awesome

Much like other places in the state, the people of North Carolina would have a mental breakdown if they lived here for a winter.

hopefully we'd be a little more used to it. it was a combination of accidents and people driving slow and the accumulation of traffic from people leaving early @ lunch

for chrissakes, a few weeks ago i drove 120 miles during the worst of a blizzard with 50 mph winds and 2 feet of snow. it was some of the funnest driving i've done.

I believe it was the winter of 2000, J. I went fucking nuts because I couldn't leave the house for a week.

State's already cancelled morning classes. We just have to wait and see what Duke does.
