Arrow any comic geeks who read Identity Crisis #7

Jesus Christ, what the fuck was that? Good sequences taken as a part throughout the series but talk about lackluster and anti-climatic (and doesn't make much sense, either).

Letdown! Letdown! Boooooo!! Disassembled was better than this.

Identity Crisis is about superhero wife of Elongated Man, Sue Dibny, being murdered. Spirals out into a vast story about things that happened in the past, like rape & mind alterations and so forth. Has some great moments in the series, but it doesn't hold together overall.

favs, uhhhhh, just off the top of my head: Watchmen, natch. Dark Knight Returns, Daredevil: Guardian Devil & Born Again, Runaways, any and all of Peter David's Hulk run (esp. Future Imperfect), Batman: The Killing Joke, Give Me Liberty, Captain Marvel, Bloom County, Kingdom Come, Millar's The Ulitmates. The Venom Arc in Ultimate Spider-Man.

current books - Ultimate Spider-Man, Madrox, Fallen Angel & Y: The Last Man.

If I could recomend any of those, I'd go with Y: THE LAST MAN. Fucking awesome. google it to check it out.

ok i think i remember reading a news article sometime ago about identity crisis over the controversy of the story.......upon dropping by an alan moore site to refresh my memory it says that v foor vendetta is about to be turned into a movie, cant wait for this basterdization...both v for vendetta and watchmen could make excellent movies/miniseries but i bet they will end up as shit if it ever happends. frank miller and neil gaimen are the only other writters i was really up on. im reading gaimens american gods novel now, im quite liking it but where i havent read anything in a while my judgement is probably not the best...i picked up a second copy of kingdom come at a yard sale for 5 bucks which i plan to cut up and put on an old piece of shit guitar to make it look more menacing

i'll keep an eye open for eye and identity crisis, i feel like blowing some money. i heard y was suposed to be quite good as well.

IC sounds alot cooler than it actually is, neat bursts of greatness aside. if I were you I'd fork that cash over for any and all Y: The Last Man trades. Great concept: Virus wipes out every male on earth (inculding animals) except for one guy and his pet helper monkey, Ampersand. Wackiness ensues from that point on.

I like Runaways even though its a "teen" comic, but the characterization is really spot on and involving. The central premise is kids find out thier parents are supervillians so they become runaways. Sounds simple, executed great. Both books are written by Brain K. Vaughn, fav. author of the moment.

If you like Frank Miller and haven't gotten "Give Me Liberty" go find that. Likewise if you like Alan Moore and have never read "Killing Joke" either.

Bendis' "Powers" is really good, esp. the "Who Killed Retro Girl" opening arc. For pure geekness, though, I love his "Venom" arc in Ultimate Spider-Man. Keeps to the essientials of the Venom story, but it makes it more tragic & horriffic.

J.Lo movie I actually kinda like, mostly Clooney and Soddenbergh take credit for that. That and Sam "The Man" Jackson's cameo at the end.

"The ninth?"
