The best names are 2 syllables... enough so they can distinguish it from other words, yet not too much that it confuses them

then we can both have cats with japanese names.

phoebe moved with my friend aimee to a different house. i miss her but now i have my own little kitty to watch grow up and clean up its poop and everything!

i think he can be yoshimi but yoshi for short. or just plain 'yo.' tee hee.
another name i considered was jonsi. heh. well it's not as gay as naming him like hummer or starla or somethign.

the name he came with was apollo but my parents had a cat named apollo when i was a baby. it doesn't suit him anyway.
