Thumbs up saw "The Neverending Story" at midnight last night at the Nuart theatre in L.A.

I'm glad I hadn't seen it for a while. Definitely a treat, although no trailers for upcoming midnight movies like A Clockwork Orange were shown. The print did have a lot of debris on it, but, hey, the film came out 18 years ago. My brother was extremely close to winning the raffle prize ("the neverending raffle", some people quipped), which was a "Child's Play" DVD from the amazing video joint next door, CineFile.

I saw the animes "Jin-Roh" and "Metropolis" there, too. Another great theatre is Laemmelle's on 3rd Street in Santa Monica.
