. but yeah...i'm about 2 feet into knitting a kick ass baby blanket...it's going to be these colors:

each color stripe is four rows with a straight black alternating. it looks so wicked cool and i just wanted to share. you can all go back to ignoring me now.

those are so much fun to make... you could learn how to do it, yanno. i swear it's the most relaxing thing ever. and pullovers are fun...especially with cool yarn. good yarn is the key- none of that shitty acrylic crap they sell at wal-mart...

Why don't you just knit a white blanket and wait for the baby to barf all over it. That way it will turn out looking exactly the same and save you money on multicolored yarn.

Its great go for it . My gran used to always knit stuff for all the grand kids she had.
She taught me how to knit great big fuck off chunky socks so when i went out on the fishing boats i wouldnt get bored.

the first kid should always be a boy.

it depends on what kind of hat you want. take a tape measure, and measure the circumfrence of your head. then look at the yarn packaging and it will tell you how many stitches per inch. then find a pattern you like and send it to me. hats are so easy though, you could do it yourself and save yourself the shipping costs. especially on circular needles. WICKED easy. i can do it in...2-3 hours depending.

i don't like gender stereotyping. that kid will be confident in his masculinity because he had some pink in the blanket (the skeins i chose were more along the reds, oranges and yellows)...
