Arrow scary movies (or not so scary).

i just saw "saw" last night. what a piece of shit movie. i mean really. i haven't been so disappointed since i saw that equally devastating piece of crap "godsend." me and my friend sat through "saw" in it's entirety last night, the whole time waiting futilely for it to get better. it never did of course.
so we went back to his house and the original "the haunting" was playing on tcm. no commercials. much, much better than "saw". much more frightening and psychological.

I saw "Saw" amd liked it for what it was. I did think that the ending was a cop out. How the hell was anyone going to even think that dude was the killer?

I hate going to the movie theatre. Partly b/c i don't believe in paying $15 to see a movie and partly b/c i can't sit still for longer than 15 minutes.

I'll save this one for a movie night in.

does anybody but me think it's disturbing that people enjoy watching people get terrorized and killed? i think it's wack.

i still kinda enjoy the idea of horror movies, but it's a little hard for me to enjoy them when i'm watching.

all this said, do any of you guys think The Omen is good (or bad)? i'd never heard of it but i saw something on TV about it when i was at the laundromat and it looked pretty good. i also need to mke myself see the original Psycho, too. Did you know that Hitchcock mandated that no one was to be allowed inside even a minute after the movie started, to protect it's integrity as a film? supposedly he was bvery famous by then so everyone followed his rules. i though that was pretty cool.

I enjoyed horror films more as a kid. I get kinda spooked just thinking about seeing some of the Fridays the 13th series again (before they got really lame).

I still refuse to see the Exorcist. There is a family tale that one of my aunts went mad after seeing it so no one is supposed to see it. My siblings have all seen it and have all said that its a fucked up movie. I'm too much of a wuss to find out.

hey, i'm not ashamed to say it. i liked blair witch. you have to admit that even though it's not a classic or anything, it's still better than all the garbage hollywood has vomitted at us since. at least it was somewhat original.
besides, i still get the goosebumps when i see that scene where the chick finds that guys tongue and teeth and eyeballs all wrapped up with sticks and shreds of his own shirt. i mean, what if that was you in those woods? that would be nuts.

Talking

My mother rented Van Helsing this past weekend because she thought it was a scary holloween movie and we just sat there laughing the whole time at the stupidity of it. Not that I was expecting it to be scary - but my mom's a dork and she did.

That movie was really, really bad.

my former roommate who is now at home because of a broken leg went on for weeks about how great this movie was and how he was going to rent it as soon as it came out for rental to watch it again. he even rented the cartoon version or something of it and i had to watch that.
but he broke his leg before it came out

Your former roommate must be extremely easily amused or not have ever read the books of the characters in the movie (Frankenstein/Dracula/Dr.Jekyl andMr. Hyde...).
