Many things they couldn't anticipate. Ashlyn's baby teeth posed big problems. She would chew her lips bloody in her sleep, bite through her tongue while eating, and once even stuck a finger in her mouth and stripped flesh from it.

Family photos reveal a series of these self-inflicted injuries. One picture shows Ashlyn in her Christmas dress, hair neatly coifed, with a swollen lip, missing teeth, puffy eye and athletic tape wrapped around her hands to protect them. She smiles like a little boxer who won a prize bout.

whn i wuz younger thn i am rite now, i asked my dad if ths cud take place and he said yeas. i said tht i wanted it, and he said no. i said why and he said cause you could break bones and other big injuries and not know it and die easily. now i think that i want it. to die.

Because they can't feel pain they try and poke their own eyes out and stuff to try and feel pain or because they don't know it hurts. It's not a good thing if you ask me.

my grandma had MS and lost a lot of the feeling in her hands early on and would sometimes cut herself or burn her hands while cooking and not notice it

some schizophrenics never feel emotions

not feeling any pain is really dangerous, since pain is a warning system for the body. if you touch a hot ccoking plate you get pain instantlly and draw your hand back before anything really bad apart from a blister can happen. if you don't get this pain you'll get sever burnings on your fingertips...

i read about a guy who had a boating accident and could not feel any emotional pain. he would go and ask girls out and get rejected and not feel it and look in the mirror and realizse how bathetic he was and not feel the pain of it so he was kind of alike a modern day super hero
