nothing much.

and for the record, please call me tom.

i just had work. a crazy guy came in and asked us if we had "bin laden hats". i told him we didnt stock turbans. so he went and found a tea towel and informed me that, in fact, we DID have them. he then asked for dodgy looking sunglasses and a curtain tie-up-thingy so that he "could look like osama bin laden." then, after deciding that he wasnt gonna buy them, he walked off, jabbering about being "an arab emirates for a day."

:erm weird.

ok, tom.

haha, tea towels now equal osama bin laden hats.

for some reason that reminded me of the crazy guy who walks around town all day, every day and has done so for about five years. not nearly as funny as your story, but quite creepy.

where do you work?

in about a week i'm going to apply to a grocery store. :erm

i work behind the steering wheel of the mass-consumption that drives the modern society.

in other words i work in a store that sells shit you couldnt possibly need.

we have lots of looneys where i live. like seriously about 1 every 2 city blocks. maybe more in places.

where do you live?

and specify if it's a small town, suburb or large city. if it's a large city i will probably recognize it, though.

i live in fremantle.

its a fairly small city about 20 minutes south of Perh, capital of Western Australia.

it's a little urban bohemia. beaches, markets, looneys, a great local music scene, a great little CD store where i know all the staff on a first-name basis, a waffle shop that does half-price waffles on tuesdays, and those cafes that sell you special brownies if you know them well enough.

and a shop that sells t-shirts/jewellery/posters/bongs

haha, awesome. sounds better than mine. mine is the cliche small tourist town with a lot of churches and a lot of gift/floral shops. oh, and bars. the only cool places are the thrift store and the coffee shop.

oh and my school district is the size of rhode island.
