Fuck that. The game is the New Orleans bowl between UNT and Cincy. UNT has arguably the best defense in Division 1 football.

NT's defense is tough as nails. Gino might have problems moving the Bearcats up & down the field.

Byron Leftwich bs Dave Ragone in the Marshall vs Louisville game is a matchup of two QB's who most likely will be playing next year on Sunday's. The sad part is that it isn't a fair matchup consider Louisville's offensive line is one of the worst in the country. How Ragone can even be walking at this point is a miracle.

The Holiday Bowl matchup might be a sleeper as that bowl is notorious of late for having the most exciting game of all the bowls.

I'm curious as to opening #'s on the rest of the bowls

Their schedule:

August 31 at No. 9 Texas L 27-0
September 7 Nicholls State W 23-0
September 14 at Alabama L 33-7
September 21 at TCU L 16-10
September 28 at Arizona L 14-9
October 5 South Florida L 24-17
October 19 at Arkansas State W 13-10
October 26 at La Lafayette W 27-0
November 2 Louisiana Monroe W 41-2
November 9 Idaho W 10-0
November 16 New Mexico State W 38-27
November 23 at Middle Tenn. St. W 30-20

yeah, I see a ton of offensive firepower in that schedule. They may have a decent defense, but I believe that the #3 ranking is skewed by the fact that they really haven't played anyone.

Bottom Line-- Cincy wins.

UNT is trying to build a program from the pits of D1. Four years ago, they were questionably the worst program in the nation. Now, they have back-to-back Sun Belt championships and are on a six game tear. Granted, the Sun Belt is no Big 12, but what the fuck is the Conference USA known for? Basketball, not football.

Cincy's schedule's just as debatable as UNT's. UNT's pre-season schedule is tougher, and considering you can't do anything about weak-ass conference foes, don't hate on the Mean Green for scheduling a tough schedule.

September 2 TCU W 36-29
September 14 No. 13 West Virginia L 35-32
September 21 No. 2 Ohio State L 23-19
September 28 at Temple W 35-22
October 5 Miami (OHIO) L 31-26
October 12 at Tulane L 35-17
October 19 at Southern Miss L 23-14
October 26 Memphis W 48-10
November 7 at Louisville W 24-14
November 16 Houston W 47-14
November 23 at Hawaii L 20-19
November 30 UAB W 31-23
December 6 at East Carolina W 42-26

Now, the OSU game is big of course, but come on? Losing to fucking Tulane, Miami of Ohia and Southern Miss is just pathetic. And you beat UAB - holy hell McNeese State could beat UAB.

UNT wins by 10.

First of all, I was just making the comment that the #3 defense in the nation should have an asterisk next to it due to the fact that they play in an extremely weak conference. They may in fact be a decent team, but just take the defensive ranking with a grain of salt.

from http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin.htm#foot

Sagarin Rankings:

Conference USA is ranked 9th, Sunbelt 12th

Cincinnati 53rd overall, North Texas 66th
