Books for school are so expensive.

I've got one book for my intro-level environmental protection class (it basically seems like a cross between environmental science, which I've already taken, and some public policy analysis) that's $108.50.

What the fuck is so great about this book that I'm going to use for six months that it costs $110? I paid $1 for my fucking first edition, hardback, of The Poetry of Robert Frost at a library book sale; there is no way that this environmental science book is 108.50 times more worthy than the collected work of arguably the greatest American poet.

(Incidentally, a new paperback copy of that Frost book is $18 at UNC's student store. Man.)

ugh. Im going to buy books next week while there are still used ones available. I think I may get a couple from a friend of mine. I should probably email him and see if he kept them

Yeah, and the newer versions are always the exact same shit except stuff might be on different pages. Lame.

My books were consistently between $200 and $300 each quarter...$600 to $900 per year. WTF.
I especially liked when my $120 psychology book (that I would NEVER use again) resold for $22.

I once tried to sell back a book that cost me $94, and they offered me $1.20.

It shouldn't be alot on books this year. On developing, on sound equipment... a fortune.
