This is usually a scam out of Nigeria. Enough people fall for it, believe it or not. I saw a news story about it, usually it's the elderly.

Quite often to prove they're "real" the Nigerians will pose with a sign that says what you want it to say. There's a few sites on the net where people have scammed the scammers into holding signs that aren't exactly appropriate.

Theres one guy out there that pulls scams like this but he gives the people the phone number for the Howard Stern show it's great these old people call him up screaming at him "I sent you the money when are you going to make the deposit in my account".
