Default i came home to magic surprises!

i've been thinking a lot about architecture lately, and i've been meaning to go to a barnes and noble and pick up an architectural digest or something. so what do i come home to?a random japanese archtectural/urban design style book, and some issues of domus...i guess my roommate found them. not that i suppose they're for me, but i think it's pretty cool that he happened to pick them up at this time.

That's neat, Deadswan. I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday, and it took a great amount of willpower for me to not buy Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation. I don't really know what that has to do with architecture, other than maybe the fact that punctuation is to grammar what flying buttresses are to Gothic architecture.

That unbelievably gay analogy aside, I just want you to know that I read books, too, and am thus a worthwhile individual. Damn the people who have ever asserted otherwise. Parents should know better.

This post is just an attempt at reaching out to another human being, Deadswan. I'm so lonely. Will you hold me and read to me Bazooka Joe fortunes in hushed tones? You must whisper, Deadswan; you mustn't let them hear us in the attic. They'll kill us if they know we know their secret.

Oh, I'm sorry. Did I interrupt a highly ornate monosyllable/pic/emoticon fest? Fuck you guys. I turn my rump defiantly at the zeitgeist.

No, that post was actually entirely autobiographical. This attic is damp and I'm starting to get scared.

Oh, and that was a capitalization error in your post -- not a punctuation error. If I wanted to intimate your need to brush up on your grammar, I'd probably recommend something more remedial than Eats, Shoots & Leaves. Like Hooked on Phonics or How to Make the Big Leap from Unintelligible Grunting to "Mama".

I wept as I typed out this flame, compelled by a dark impulse that man hath come to label Evil.

Did that really make you that happy? Magic?

I don't think anything makes me feel magic anymore.

I'm going to wax my car tomorrow with the best polish ever. I just bought all of the wares tonight. It's going to be a nice Saturday.

To redress the injury, I offer you this pic of Kathy Bates. The curved, haphazard lines in her face bespeak an unmistakable influence by Frank Gehry:
