Okay, so how about gray? Gray is a good color... also light pink! Or black stars with white outlines?! How about instead of stars, you can use circles? Oh, or use moon phases!

Okay, I got it! After the white stars, we could use moon phases to distinguish the higher up posters... it would start out with the full moon and then after each thousandth post or so, there would be an extra moon (following the moon phases - half moon, quarter moon, etc.) and the last moon could be a new full moon until we think/need another distinguishing level up.
