yuck!! I dissected a cat too. I named it feefer oh man, I think there was one Male cat in our whole anatomy class. It was sooo huge and nasty it smelled awful. We also got a pregnant cat, and that was soooo sad

Some kid here had his genitals, ear and arm cut off for ‘Traditional Medicine’ the other day. He survived, and is in hospital, they’re tying to keep him around.

3 suspects in custody. The community where the kid is from is threatening mob justice (it’s quite common here in the townships) unless someone gets arrested soon.

And mob justice = heavy.

i dissected heaploads of animals. That's what you get when you go study biology.

At the famous shark dissecting classes, a girl fainted because of the horrid smell of rotting fish. That's not that special, several other people fainted. But in her fall she smashed her teeth on the table edge.

oh man those were the days. Covered in pigeon blood, covered in rat blood, actually those were probably the most interesting classes i ever took. No such thing as dissection in molecular biology though.

two years ago i was covered in cow's and pigs blood every day, when I worked at the animal health service. i worked in the room where the post would enter the building and I had to sort it out. it was mostly blood that had to be checked for diseases, but there was a (dis)section (?) room too and every once in a while we would get something delivered that was meant for the dissection.

the first week, my colleagues told me to open a cardboard box, it would contain more post for us to sort out. Maybe I had to check first what it said on the box, cause it was a cow's head. cut open, so i could look right into the brains. lol :erm

i remember when i was really small and my neighbours would smash frogs with rocks. i was like woah

This past year we did a pig and a squid. The squid was dumb. The pig was interesting though.

One kid chipped away at the top of the skull to get to the brain. I don't think that's the most efficient way to do it though. :erm
