I'm interviewing this week for a job that pays between $58-$62.

I really hope I get it.

and you work at a liquor store. well thats cool cause im drinking liquor! or its here anyway. you really make that much working there? holy shit sign me up, seriously. part time anyway. why would you make that much for basically being a cashier? (no offense)
in the magical land of canada, liquor stores are government operated & funded. (except for a few provinces)
so, except for IDing people and dealing with drunks, it's not too different from working at safeway. but i'm a govt employee and hence paid way too much
it's on-call though so sometimes i don't know when/where i work until the morning of the shift, and took me a year to get up to f/t hrs. i had the interview 3 years ago, it took connections and stuff. and if it doesn't get privatized in a few years (which i deep down agree with) then the union contract will probably bring the wages down. i think everyone who got hired after my group was at $13/hr so i was a little lucky.

i'll look into an arts/rec center thing, i didn't even think of that. i taught a drawing course at one of those once and it was awesome.
but do you have your ARCT? i think that's a canada thing too. when you take piano there's 10 grades (in the royal conservatory of music) and then an ARCT grade so you can teach. i dunno what the equivalent would be there.

Thats pretty good for playing video games all day. But it must suck to look for bugs. That's what you do though right? Like you probably have to play games and go around in the game and punch walls for hours to see if a glitch pops up....

its great money.. but my life suffers from it. i should be making more, but i get screwed because im on a revolving contract. yeah, there is alot of repetitive shit involved.. especially during certain parts of the project before release. right now, we're doing prototypes for the next xbox console. i've been promoted from just being on the test group though. i get to manage other testers, and i now do sound design, write automation scripts, manage bug tracking databases, compile daily builds, conduct playtests, provide design feedback, and i've also started learning C#. in february i am moving over full time to be a lead sound designer.
