Talking Right in the middle of it

it's a very distinct feeling.. one example would be a heavy rainstorm where all you can hear is the rain and a car approaching, passing, and then fading away. another would be driving in a car when the wind feels very peculiarly fresh and the sun is shining in a way that will stick in your memory for years and there is some music that resonates unexpectedly.

the point is that you are completely living in that instant, much moreso than anyone usually lives in the present. heightened awareness and all that. and you feel the need to share that with someone. like, it somehow means more. what is that all about?

do people grow out of that? i hope not.

yea, like when you have something about your life to look forward to, which when you're young you have your whole life to look forward to. but i imagine at some point if you live morally and keep friendships (like the ones we so intensly foster here on netphoria) that you can have those moments by looking back, or by being amazed that you are standing there in the rain in the year 2030 and the world hasnt exploded on your watch.
