Red face The health department temporarily closed the pool at work today!

The indoor pool at my day camp has been making the kids and staff really sick. Kids get a bunch of eye infections and outbreaks of excema (i can't spell that word) from it all the time. The counselors have been getting a continuous cycle of yeast infections.

They finally closed it today cause the chlorine was well over the legal limit, and people were getting blisters on their skin.

Crazy shit.

Ew ew ew. I like freshwater pools or even more, saltwater pools. They take a hell of a lot of upkeep, however, not something most day camps or hotels would be willing to pay for. Chlorine is so ick. You should seriously sue. They should have done something about it after the staff began complaining.

oh my god. I have been getting yeast infections more often in the last couple months... i wonder if the gym pool has something to do with it! What does ecsema look like? I've had what look like dark freckles break out on my right arm like overnight.

It looks something like this.... It's patches of dry, red, itchy skin, that sometimes even flakes off.

You can get yeast infections from the pool cause you might not towel off properly, so the chlorinated water is hanging out in a nice, warm, humid crotch and partying it up with your body's natural bacteria. YUM. The chlorine throws off your vagina's pH.

Might be NSFW...

well... I shower really well immediately after I get out. But maybe for the summer months they're putting more chemicals in?

Those pics look like a really, really bad version of what I have. I'm worried. maybe I should call the health inspectors on their asses.
