Let's just say i had cabin fever. Beyond that, the idea just kind of popped into my head, I really liked it, and I figured that the time after college and before getting a new job was an ideal window of opportunity. I'm really, really glad I did it. I've had all sorts of awesome stuff go down and met all sorts of awesome folks. Eventually, as has been suggested, there will be pictures, a map, and stories provided. But that'll have to wait until I'm done with this and have money again...

Ditto. As I said before...don't tempt me! This trip has definitely blown the doors wide open in terms of what I might do and where I might go once I get "back" to Minnesota.

yeah, mariner is a great guy. he arrived in town saturday afternoon and we got some fish tacos. then i had to take off for work so i took him to my apartment and showed him how to access porn via the internet so he could keep busy while i was gone. i had to work sunday morning too, but when i got off, we went and got a steak where mariner was hit on by the waitress. then we followed it up with harold & kumar - it was the best dinner/movie date i have had in a while. this morning i introduced him to breakfast tacos and then we watched some price is right and soaps and then he took off on his voyage. he's a really great guy with a good sense of humor - if he drives through your town you should make it a point to visit.

and we got carded at harold & kumar. not when we bought the tickets, but inside where they tear your stub. we got carded by this sixteen year old girl who was about five feet tall and really timid, so i showed her my ID and then mariner realized he left his in the car, but he had his university ID and showed it to her, but it didn't have a birthday. then the girl realized that more than likely, if you are in college, you are probably old enough to see a rated r movie.
