This October, Matador will be releasing a double CD 10th anniversary edition of Pavement's fabulous 2nd album, 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain'. In addition to a remastered version of the original album, we'll be including a number of extras including alternate takes/mixes, and previously unreleased songs. Think "The Great Lost Pavement Album" --- literally nobody has ever heard these songs before. Package will be an embossed, die-cut slipcase. Liner notes from SM, Spiral Stairs, and Gerard Cosloy.

Newer news....next June, Matador will come out with the Brighten the Corners Super Duper Deluxe Edition to commemorate the 6 year anniversary of the album's initial release.

i am excited about this release. i heard that they were originally planning on making it a three cd set:

cd1: the remastered album
cd2: the unreleased tracks and bsides
cd3: malky acoustic things (live and demos)

but maybe that won't happen. or maybe it will be a special edition of the special edition.

good. I'll finally buy Pavement albums. I found a few records at Rotate This last week, and I almost bought one, such pretty clear vinyl. But they were quite expensive :/
