You've been a fan of Modest Mouse for like a week?

I tried to like Modest Mouse because I wanted to Ryan Patrick to think I was cool way back in 2002.
But I listened to like, 3 of their albums (not the new one, though) and I just couldn't/can't do it.

The only songs of theirs that i would actually listen to on purpose is Dirty Fingernails, Sunspots, and Doin the Cockroach.

Yeah, I don't know. I'm a little hesitant to take sides in an argument like this, but I do agree with you to a certain extent. I do like the new Modest Mouse material, but the albums prior to Good News are much more unique and exciting. I guess they had to develop somehow.

its not the voice, though thats a big part of the annoyance factor. Its just that the song is so repetative over and over with the same lyric again and again and the music is the same verse chorus verse. I don't have nothing against verse chorus verse, I like that format to about 90% of the songs I listen too. Its just that its not very good music playing for the verse chorus verse. Its actually really annoying. Its just lots of delays and FXs and it drills into your skull until you just want it to stop. Or change the station. Which is what I pretty much always do when the song comes on.

wow, I didn't know people deserved to listen to music. Well I guess that's ok, after all Jews didn't deserve to live in Nazi Germany so I guess you're opperating on the same principle.

Um, I like it all.

Maybe not Good News as much as the older stuff, but I do like to hear the older stuff, as it had more originality I guess.

If you were asking for my personal opinion, that is.
