OK, Blood Sausage

This is really bothering me. I saw a whole half cooler of blood sausages at the store today. I knew they existed, but I'd never really thought about it before. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT EDIBLE!?!? It's a huge tube of BLOOD! The image and concept will not leave my mind and it's 5 am. Who eats this and how?

blood sausage is in fact a delicious meal. it normally contains, apart from the blood, pieces of bacon and lots of herbs. you normally slice it and fry it in a pan, than you add sliced cooked potatoes, sliced bread dumpling and perhaps an egg. it's delicious http://www.puerstner.com/Bilder/pue32.gif

Not really, the blood is cooked until it clots and is then filled into the intestine.....

We sell it in the deli i work at as BLOOD AND TONGUE SAUSAGE. Very popular with the old people.

and why is there "hot" head cheese?

I asked the people at my deli and they didn't even know.

head cheese is pig brain and pig nuts, it's hot sometimes cuz they add spices to it to make it taste a little 'better'
