there's this girl at work.

she is beautiful, cultured, intelligent, and down to earth.

we have a definite attraction.

she hugs my arm when i make her laugh.

sometimes i catch her staring at me with a flirtatious but heartfelt smile.

she is hispanic, probably upper class cause her brother owns one of the finest if not the finest gourmet Mexican restaurant in the city($50 plates).

she does not have a boyfriend.

she's the type of girl that attends yoga class, reads books, and would rather conversate with friends and family than watch TV.

she and her sister have a house, and i think their mother lives with them.

she is 26.

she is very healthy-aerobics, no fast food, no drugs.

dresses well but modestly, no style attributed to any particular social group.

she only drinks wine, doesn't party too often, and sleeps by 11.

here's the problem.

whenever i ask her out or invite her for dinner she is very indecisive and say's things like "we'll see", or "i'm not sure if that day is goooood", "i'll call you"...

she told me to call her today which i did to make plans to hang out tomorrow. i did and received no call back.

i'm not really upset at all. i'm more confused than anything else. i think:

1. she is just a big flirt
2. i am misreading body language for something else
3. it's a cultural difference that's misleading me
4. she is busy with many things in her life and doesn't want to date at the moment
5. i should just ask her this shit straight up
6. she thinks i'm gay-jk
7. ummm, she thinks i'm cute, but i'm not her type?
8. don't give her anymore attention and see how she reacts

do you have any experience or thoughts that may put my little problem into perspective.

You have to lay down the law, man.

If she's looking at you, or catching brief glimpses at you, it means she's attracted.

Be a man. Go up to her and say: "Hey, I know you've been putting me off for a while. Well, tonight, I want to go out to dinner with you. No if's and's or but's, let's just go out and have a good time."

If she says "yes". You're in. Enjoy yourself.

If she says "no". Move on, there's plenty of other girls out there who won't waste your time.
