apparently, yes.

i watched a 50 greatest countdown the other night, and he was ranked 3 or 4.

when i read articles, they always mention him like he was the kurt cobain of rap. it's just music, but it's annoying to me. i listen to lots of rap/hip-hop and i've never understood his meteoric appeal.

I like the obvious songs of his, like Juicy and Big Poppa. Admit it, they're catchy as hell.

I think he raps about a lot of real shit but the way he does it is whack sometimes. Having Puff Daddy in your songs ALWAYS suck, even if he's your producer. And he's kind of monotone; he doesn't bring enthusiasm to a lot of his messages; the very key to making people sit up and listen. Someone who does a phenomenal job at this is Talib Kweli. His politics fly out of his mouth faster than you can say Biggie Smalls and he still sounds colorful.

I give credit to Biggie wherever it's due, for sure, at least he wasn't half the douche Diddy is.

I think he's the pinnicle of gangsta rap.

Gimme the Loot is one of the most awesome songs in the world.
