Anyone check out Indie band of the month: "The Killers" yet?

I am listening to the album. Its actually not that bad. I can tell it will be one of those ones i'll listen to a lot for a few weeks but that it will gradually lose my attention. I would at least check it out and give it a couple spins. Its the kind of album that the production could have been slightly better and that really bothers me. i don't want a crystal shine to it but i think the producer could have done a bit better. Bands like the strokes piss me the fuck off though. They have the fucking money yet refuse to use it to polish their album thinking its more art like to leave it that way.

Anyone see the killers live? Decent? On second thought i might not grow tired of it quickly.

1. they are incredibly awful

i've heard mr.brightside and Somebody Told Me. both very catchy. the band seem like douchebags, but i think the singer has a good voice and ability to uh "paint lyrical pictures". if you catch my drift
mr.brightside is very uplifting, when the keyboards come in i'm like whoa

if the dutch soccer squad doesn't make it to the finals of euro2004 i'll be seeing them next sunday at the metropolis fest.

i'm not a big fan of those guys but they are the first band since Slaughter to make it out of Vegas. I know those guys and see them through my work all the time.
