Yeah, I know. But it's only a 17 second piano clip of it.

Is Le Deux Machina so cheesy that it doesn't qualify as a song? Otherwise, it surely belongs on the list.

it's not really fair to even consider that track or the alt version of heavy metal machine.

Well, apparently the Album version is completely different then the live version. The live version is just a barebones take on it.

So FFS, why don't you reserve your judgement?

The entire adore album
songs off the tonight tonight single from the box set

pretty much anything from adone onwards.....few good songs on machina and a few good ones with lots of potential from arising tour........seems like corgan purposely avoided putting the good music on albums?

For God and Country, concert version blows...might be diff on cd

lol @ this guy with his Adore bashing.

Adore may not rawk hard, and it isn't for everyone but I implore you to lie down by a fire on a crisp winter's eve, and absorb the album as you drift to sleep. You will change your mind. Adore is Billy's song writing at its best.

Sorry

but this is why a lot of you have no idea what you are talking about
and how a lot of you are just talking out of your ass.

Not 1 single person even mentioned Chewing Gum
i see songs on here like...TCTOM and Perfect and The Everlasting Gaze
This Time....and the entire adore album.

Yeah....all of those songs are worse than Chewing Gum
a basic accoustic song where he mostly just says Chewing Gum over and over

"got myself a piece of chewing gum.....chewing gum, got myself a piece of chewing gum"

choosing ANY of these songs over that song, is retarded
and like i said
proves that most of you are talkin out of your ass
and you don't know SHIT about music...or even the pumpkins

go to some other msg board

with that said, i still don't mind chewing gum..just a simple fun song
but it is 100% the worst song they've (billy) has done

By that same logic we should all be condeming "Where's Vince?", and I love that song. Don't get me wrong, I see what you're saying, but I would listen to "Chewing Gum" all day before volunteering to listen to "Appels + Oranjes".

I appreciate In my body, regardless of what others think. Something about it. The remix on the other hand is terrible. I think it could have been really pleasing, had it made it into the studio. Same goes for most of Machina II.

Hummer26 is obviously more into the heavy spectrum of SP.

let me guess, Everlasting Gays is your favorite song on Machina? Ava Adore off of Adore?

To each his own.

everlasting gaze was ruined by that 10 second rant....and AVA adore is not heavy.....it is Nine Inch Nails bullshit....period.

Adore has great lyrics and I listened to it in high school when it came out. It sucks....music is about instruments and poetry coming together. You cannot just have great lyrics and expect to make good music by coupling it with bizare nine inch nails "sounds" you people are idiots.....if you were fans of sp in 91 to 96 ish you would cringe after hearing adore. Making adore under the name zwan would have been fine....but it was not cool to do under the sp name.

yeah, billy is an idiot for trying different kinds of music
and not doing the same thing over and over
what an idiot that guy is

i mean, if i was in a band
i'd just keep doing the same sound all the time
i mean look at AC/DC, they are an awesome band
but what i love most about that band, on top of all the songs they have in their catalogue is the fact that 80% of them all sound the same

if billy isn't gonna keep doing the same style of music over and over
i don't even want to be associated with this band as a fan.

im gonna go listen to AC/DC's fly on the wall

you are a FREAKIN IDIOT. By all means make different types of rock music and thats cool....from gish through mcis...sp played a different tone/type of rock music and nobody complained because the songs sounded different but remained GREAT. Do you have to ABONDON A GUITAR...IN ORDER TO MOVE ON AS AN ARTIST? YOUR DEFINING SOUND AS A BAND IS DERIVED FROM GUITARS AND DRUMS.....AND THEN YOU MAKE THAT PIECE OF SHIT ALBUM ADORE....WHICH IN MANY TRACKS YOU WONDER....WHERE ARE THE INSTRUMENtS? GET REAL YOU MORON.......AFTER LISTENING TO ROCK MUSIC FOR 15 YEARS I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BAND GO FROM ONE TYPE OF MUSIC TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPE.

THE SONG ANNIE DOG SPEAKS VOLUMES FOR ADORE. GO LISTEN TO AC DC AND SHUT UP. I liked a few songs on machina and machina2.......zeitgeist will be great from what I am hearing but dont tell an old school pumpkins fan that adore is a great album and deserves respect because its different. And as for lyrics....if I want pure poetry I read poetry......albums like sd and mcis had amazing lyrics coupled with amazing guitars and drums...

Speaking as an "old school pumpkin fan", Adore is my second favorite SP album (next to Siamese Dream). Who cares what kind of instrument is being played as long as a song moves you?

Anyway, my least favorite Pumpkins songs have got to be all of James' songs (except "...said sadly"). I just don't like his voice. And ...said sadly was only good because of Nina Gordon. The only Billy songs that I can agree with that have been mentioned already are Chewing Gum and Because You Are.
