I'm in small town Washington and the weather isn't identical but similar (we get less rain due to all the mountains but it's been in the high 40s recently) and I've been able to go on a walk midday for about 70% of the winter, with an infant (bundled up). So no, it's not like what I remember the winters being like in Maryland. On the other hand, my friends in Alabama and Texas are already wearing shorts. If only the South had a different mind-frame
