Wanted to add this in:

How to Split Up a Wav into Separate Tracks (and still have them play seamlessly.)

That's the link to download CD Wave Editor. It's about 600K to download... won't change any file associations, and is pretty darn simple, especially if you're intimidated by Cool Edit (which, by the way, despite offering "Split on Blocks" in the help menu, does not, in fact, offer this option, in Cool Edit Pro 2.1)

Open the wav file. Then go the Split menu, then select Auto Split. Then Click OK.
