I don't really know how people will look at my degree. On the one hand, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot it is applicable to. People seem to go into it before doing a law degree. Maybe it'd be good for public administration or public policy? People always ask me if I plan to go to Ottawa to become a politician, and I'm like "fuck no."
Whenever people ask me what I do and I say "political science," they go "wow." I think they think it's a really hard thing, because "politics" sounds serious and "science" sounds hard. Like, "oh shit, that sounds difficult and mind-numbing." Eh, it's probably no different from history or cultural anthropology or criminology or anything like that.
