with drums it's not just about the sound though. it's going off the grid and doing special little nuance things that wouldn't & in some cases probably couldn't be emulated by any sort of synth drums. electronic drums can be more effective in certain scenarios for certain tracks, but if you're going for real drums of any kind, you sorta have to have either a real drum set/drummer or a good set of samples/loops you can slice or modulate for the song
