That's a real issue in the GOP. Look at Mitch McConnell. He's the most powerful Republican in the Senate and he's in danger of losing his district this year because the GOP base is batshit crazy
Brewer is probably in a better position than all but a handful of republican candidates. She's a governor, which is the modern stepping stone to the white house for republicans. She's a woman, which will help the argument that the party needs to grab the "female vote" if it's running against Hillary. And she's a bonafide right wing nutjob. And after getting Mitt last time around I think the party faithfull will be cl******g for a "true conservative".
