For one, I was very well versed with the Ramones "greatest hits" since I was like 17. But at the time I was a shit that didn't appreciate their historic significance. And over the past month I've read 2 memoirs (I'm 1/3 of the way through my 3rd - Joeys brothers book about him) and watched the documentary and it's sent me on a deeper wormhole of fandom... And lo and behold, I actually enjoy a lot of the deeper cuts more than the "hits".
Lastly, I never claimed to be any "expert". The facts were just simply fresh in my mind since I've read the books recently. |
