today i was given a $2 raise and a promotion, which is just slightly more responsibility. i'll basically be sitting in on the occasional budget/operations mtg and having some say in that.
i'm mostly very happy because it flies in the face of how i see myself at work. i always feel like i am going to be fired if i don't work for every single second of every single day. because of that i tend to keep my nose to the grindstone and not ever open up to coworkers. and THAT makes me feel unnoticed (even though this place is relatively small...about 25 employees); i know these are all distorted thoughts so i'm grateful to be jolted out of that for a moment with some recognition.
anyway, i'm glad.
