Wasn't the consensus among fans that the tracklisting was uneven and repetative because we figured Billy needed to balance what casual fans would like and what diehards wanted?
Remember this was less than a year after the breakup and a Pumpkins Singles Collection was definitely something I can see gathering interest. So for Joe Public, who wants Today and Rat in a Cage (and has no idea about anything post Mcis), what other songs could appeal to him? But also diehards need something, thus crap demos like soot n stars.
