I really wonder what his motivation is for releasing the songs in this way. If he's considering these 44 songs to be a unified body of work, all it seems to do is provide an opportunity for people to judge, criticize and reject it before it's even finished being released. On the fan's end I do think it has a nice advent calendar type of experience to it. I hope it's good.

edit: also I hope we're not being made to choose between 128kb/s mp3s and $20 x 11 EPs or something equally asinine.
