who finds out somebody has ms and their reaction is "can't even talk to this freak"
I don't know... most people are usually surprised when they find out, and say "but you don't look sick". Maybe it's a matter of not wanting to feel burdened with someone who has health issues? Or get caught up in thinking they have to be someone's caretaker.
You would think having a child would be the main factor but it never really has been much of an issue.
