i personally believe that its because they're financially & socially denied other avenues for opportunity so there is a cultural focus on athletics or entertainment to get money, since that's the two ways the most black men & women have gotten rich
i think ethiopia & kenya dominate long distance track not because of genetics necessarily but because of a combination of high altitude & glorious tradition
