it's kind of sadly hilarious to see how people latch their own entire worldviews, rooted in chauvinism/misogyny/feminism/feminazism, on a situation where it is 100% unclear speculation either way, where it is impossible to ascertain anything at all as fact or lie in any form.
the way i see it, if your response to these type of situations is anything more than "i wonder what really happened there", then you're some kind of an idiot, enforcing your dichotomic thinking on a situation that is so obscure, it's basically hypothetical and really only serves as mirror for whoever is commenting on it.
eagerness to 'default to believing' anyone who will generate any claim that renders them a victim will say something about you and your character, just as much as dismissing and attacking any potential claim by somebody, and calling it bullshit right out the gate will say something about you and your character. either way, with such a minimal amount of information, it no longer has anything to do with what actually happened, and is solely about you and your views and biases, and is at that point no more than outrage porn. the people's new favorite hobby these days.
