I think if you’re young you don’t understand how different and jarring Kid A was on release. You can hear the sound in everything now. Before it, nothing had that sound. The cold, airy, robotic soundscape that album produced was new and foreign before it was released. I’m not the biggest Radiohead fan, I certainly like them but they aren’t my favorite, but Kid A changed the fucking game man.
and you do realize the sound of idioteque was lifted off Autechre?
