then bradbury is as wrong as you are. it is incorrect across the spectrum of mainstream academic style guides. you personally are free to decide it's correct for you because language is fluid and as long as you are communicating in a way that can be understood by the audience, there are no "rules." However, as far as convention and authorities of linguistic standardization go, you absolutely cannot put a parenthesis inside a parenthesis and be grammatically correct.
