that is a really shitty analogy but basically you feel like it's something routine that you have to do or you feel 'off' so you keep being reminded of it. plus add in a the physical addiction part which is something else entirely, like your equilibrium just doesn't feel right without it, you feel anxious and upset and you just know if you smoked it would make it better
