This shutdown phenomenon is hard to understand for me. They can't seem to get to an agreement on a certain thing that the president wants, 'so' the government partially stops working and lots of people are affected by it. I don't get why a leads to b. Is it a pressure thing that a president can use or is it just something american that eurotrash like myself can't understand?
It sounds to me a bit like two parents arguing about what couch they should buy and as long as they disagree, they're not gonna feed the kids
